Welcome Aboard In business since 1994, our goal has been to provide the most reliable and professional delivery services, as well as stimulating and enjoyable personalized instruction on sail- and motor-yachts. Captain Jeremy Hopkins, Captain Bill England and Captain Michael Mosser are highly experienced full-time captains and instructors. Capt. Jeremy holds a USCG 100-ton Near Coastal license, and Capt. Bill & Capt. Mike hold USCG 50-ton Near Coastal licenses. Capt. Jeremy & Capt. Bill are American Sailing Association certified Coastal Cruising Instructors. We all adhere to the highest possible standards for instruction and take great professional pride in ensuring an on-time, on-budget delivery. Whether your interest is a local, Intra-Coastal Waterway, East Coast, Bahamas, Caribbean or a Gulf of Mexico delivery, assistance with returning your boat to your home marina following an extended cruise, or with moving your boat to a new location, an owner-assisted delivery, new vessel purchase familiarization, topic-specific instruction, a general refresher instruction course, or private instruction in coastal or celestial navigation, we can help. Our extensive delivery experience includes monohull sailboats, sailing and power catamarans, tugs, trawlers and motor-yachts. We work near and far! We are very familiar with the waters of the Chesapeake and Delaware Bays, the New Jersey coast, Raritan Bay and the East & Hudson Rivers, Long Island and Block Island Sounds, Martha’s Vineyard, Massachusetts & the Gulf of Maine, Lake Ontario and the Oswego & Erie Canal systems, the entire Intra-Coastal Waterway from Norfolk to Miami, the Maryland, Virginia, North and South Carolina, Georgia & Florida coasts and the Gulf of Mexico. We also have many thousands of miles of open ocean sailing experience including deliveries to and from Bermuda, the Bahamas, Cuba, Puerto Rico, the British & US Virgin Islands, St Martin, Antigua, St Lucia & Grenada in the Caribbean Basin, the Yucatan Peninsula & the Pacific coast of Mexico, the South Atlantic islands of St. Helena and Ascension, Brazil, Suriname, and trans-Atlantic delivery passages from Mallorca, in the western Mediterranean and from Cape Town, South Africa, to Annapolis, MD. Please visit our deliveries page for specific details of our most recent deliveries. Please do not hesitate to contact us if we can help with any additional information you may require. References from our past customers are readily available. We look forward to hearing from you, and to working with you. October 2009 Capt. Mike made a great start to his first season with us with two Nordhavn 57 trawler deliveries; one from Charleston, SC to Annapolis and the other from Savannah, GA, to Solomons Island, MD, a Tiara 30 delivery from Somers Pt, NJ to Mill Creek, VA, a 42’ ketch delivery from Beaufort, NC to Annapolis, via the IntraCoastal Waterway and the Chesapeake Bay, a Catalina 40 delivery from Norfolk, VA to Annapolis, MD, a Lagoon 38 catamaran delivery from Puerto Rico to Marion, MA, a Cape Dory 36 cutter delivery from Annapolis, MD, to New York City and a Passport 47 delivery from Deltaville, VA, to Charleston, SC. I had the pleasure of working with Cathy & Richard G in Baltimore, on their new-to-them Nordic Tug 42 Rambler, prior to their departure for Lake Ontario via the NJ coast, the Hudson River and the Erie and Oswego Canals. Next was the owner-assisted delivery of the Cabo Rico 42 cutter Kokomo from St Petersburg, FL, to Marsh Harbour in the Abacos. In May I spent a very enjoyable day in Smithfield, VA, at the Nordic Tugs Rendezvous, before flying back to Marsh Harbour with two of my regular crew for the delivery of Kokomo from Marsh Harbour to Norfolk, VA, where the new owners re-joined the vessel for a leisurely Chesapeake Bay cruise. In June I delivered a new Nordic Tugs 42 from Stuart, FL, back to Annapolis, MD, mostly via coastal hops from Florida to North Carolina, and then via the ICW to Norfolk and the Chesapeake Bay to Annapolis In early July I worked with 2 couples on a very enjoyable “instructional cruise” onboard a chartered Catalina 42 from Annapolis to Long Island Sound and back to Annapolis. In August I again joined Cabo Rico 42 cutter Kokomo for an owner-assisted cruise from Annapolis to Oyster Bay, in Long Island Sound. Having worked closely with these owners over the previous 18 months assisting them towards the final selection of their dream yacht it has been a great delight for me to help bring their sailing aspirations to fruition. I am really looking forward to our next adventure in early November when we plan to make a passage from the Chesapeake Bay via Bermuda to Martinique, from where they will continue on with their own extended Caribbean cruising plans. My instruction activities have included 3-day instruction courses on our Nordic Tug 37 Wild Rose with Patty & Steve M from Texas, and with John & Linda R from PA, as well as also working with Scott & Esme E, and their young daughters Hailey & Alana on their Morgan 44 c/c sloop. Uncharacteristically, I also took time off this summer (gasp!) and enjoyed some tremendous fun competing in the Windmill class District Championships and National Championships run by the Rock Hall Yacht Club, as well as in the Corsica River Annual Regatta. For information on the fast, exciting, friendly and cost-competitive 2-person Windmill racing dinghy please visit www.windmillclass.org. On behalf of my colleagues Capt. Bill and Capt. Michael, I welcome all of your inquiries for instruction, deliveries and owner-assisted passages. References from our many satisfied customers are readily available. I look forward to hearing from you and to working with you. Capt. Jeremy Hopkins |
